Press Release 2nd September 2008 -
Short break specialist Days Away has teamed up with ferry company Stena Line to offer great value golfing breaks on the island of Ireland and mainland Britain. The Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Britain have a superb range of golf courses to suit all tastes and abilities in golf, from challenging championship links courses to picturesque parkland courses.
Days Away has 16 years' experience of organising golfing holidays in Ireland and Britain for people from all over the UK and Ireland. Its golf packages include reserved tee-times, accommodation and return Stena Line ferry travel between Britain and Ireland and vice-versa. "From the major courses to the hidden gems, we can put together a package to suite your needs and budget", explained Duncan Dewar of Days Away.
The packages on offer will take golfers to courses that are famous for both their scenery and cracking hospitality. Four-night midweek breaks with four rounds of golf, or three-night weekend breaks with three rounds of golf are available in Northern Ireland, the Dublin and Shannon areas, Scotland, North of England and North Wales.
Stena Line UK communications manager Nigel Tilson pointed out: "Taking the car allows you the flexibility to take in as many sights and courses as you want, along with being able to pack all your clubs without having to pay any charges for excess baggage. You can simply fling the clubs and your luggage in the back of the car and relax onboard. "And why not spoil yourself and upgrade to Stena Plus. This will give you full access of the Stena Plus lounge which includes complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits, wine and fruit."
